Indigenous experiences are the enduring heart of the Northwest Territories’ timeless land and they make it as unique as the people who call it home. National Indigenous Peoples Day is celebrated every June 21st on the Summer Solstice and on this day in particular we celebrate in every community across the territory. You can find festivities that include cultural demonstrations, live music, artwork and traditional food, all to honour and recognize the Métis, Inuit and First Nations people who've made the North their home for centuries.
